Do you ever have those moments where everything that could go wrong does? When life is hard and it’s so hard to just be cheerful and happy? But if there’s one thing I’ve learned it’s to live life with no regrets, and I fully intend to do that.
One way to cheer me up is through food, so after a particularly brutal week, I came here with R for their Happy Hour!
We didn’t have a reservation, but there was a table available so we didn’t have to wait. The waiter was insistent that we needed to leave by 6 pm, which was fine, since I had to head back to work anyway. One thing to note, that at 6 pm the waiter was still no where to be found. We pretty much felt abandoned the whole time we were eating here.
Pretty standard highball, no complaints here.
I wish I had known that the charcuterie plate came with nuts, but they were tasty, so I didn’t mind the bigger dish. The bread that was served with this was very good! It was warm and crusty with a soft interior, just the way I like it.
During Happy Hour they have a selection of appetizers at 50% off. At $9, the Charcuterie was not bad, but if I had paid full price I would definitely have been disappointed with the amount of cheese.
For $9.00 this was a steal. The burger was a bit dry, which was odd because the bottom bun was completely soggy (maybe all the juices leaked out?) The fries were good and I really liked the aioli that came with it.
Would I come back? Probably. I like the burger here better than the one I had at Earls Test Kitchen, but the service was a bit lacking here.
