Trafiq

After my girl’s date with R got crashed, we decided to ditch the boys and head for a coffee break at Trafiq. I’ve never been here, but I’ve only heard good things, so I was more than down to check it out.

It was a gorgeous sunny day so the bakery wasn’t too busy (because everyone was probably out enjoying the sun!)

What we ate: Homage to Earl Grey – creamy Earl Grey-white chocolate mousse, layers of vanilla cake finished with Earl Grey chocolate ganache ($5.95)

This was so good! Everyone recommends this flavour so I was glad I got to finally try it. The cake wasn’t too sweet and the cake was very moist.

What we ate: Chocolate Decadence – devil’s food cake with layers of bitter-sweet chocolate mousse covered in dark chocolate ganache ($5.95)

This was sitting on display on the counter and it lured me right in. I’ve been craving for a big thick slice of chocolate cake for awhile and this definitely fit the bill! The cake was surprisingly not as sweet as it looked, and everything just worked so perfectly together!

Would I come back? Yes! In fact I’m going to try and get my birthday cake from here next year!
